After gambling on a surprise New Year's kiss, a young woman invokes the Welsh lovespoon tradition to declare her love for her bestfriend.
Filmed during the Welsh firebreak lockdown in October/November 2020, Cariad was conceptualised as part of director Rebs Fisher-Jackson's involvement on the E.D.E.N. Digital project for LGBTQ+ filmmakers. Cariad was filmed entirely in Cardiff, South Wales with no budget and a guerrilla crew due to COVID-19 restrictions.
